Current Wellness Favorites

Today on the blog, I’m sharing a roundup of my 5 weekly wellness favorites- or in other words- 5 things that I’ve been loving as of late. As a guinea pig to all things health and wellness, I’m always discovering new products, tools, supplements, tricks, and tips, so every few weeks I’m going to share a roundup of all my current favorite things.

So without further ado, my weekly wellness favorites:

Pique Life radiant matcha. Let me introduce you to my favorite matcha, Pique Life. If you know me you know that I love a morning matcha. But what I love even more than a matcha in the morning, are products that are clean, toxin-free, and made without any BS. This matcha powder is 100% organic, quadruple toxin-screened for toxic mold, pesticides, and radioactive isotopes and cultivated to maximize phytonutrient potential. In short, it’s a matcha powder I really truly trust is good for my body. For me, drinking matcha isn’t so much for the health benefits that come with it but more so about the joy-filled ritual of a warm beverage in the morning. However, Pique’s matcha is also super chlorophyll rich, full of EGCG to brighten the skin and L-theanine to promote balance and energy without the jitters or the mid-afternoon crash. I’m loving Pique matcha with some frothed Malk Organics oat milk or a homemade nut milk (more on that below), a dash of organic maple syrup, some cinnamon, and a sprinkle of Celtic sea salt. You can use my Pique discount for $$ off here!

Cold plunging. Since I talk about the infrared sauna on a daily basis, let’s switch gears and talk about the yin to the sauna’s yang- the cold plunge. Lately, I’ve been loving immersing myself in cold bodies of water. Whether that be taking a freezing cold shower, dipping in the ocean, or booking a cold plunge session at a wellness studio here in LA, cold exposure has been a really critical part in my healing- especially the healing of my nervous system. This past weekend, I did an edge theory labs cold plunge for 3 minutes directly after hot yoga and it truly changed the trajectory of my day. While yes, it was extremely difficult and yes my body was entirely numb, cold exposure has so many benefits that outweigh the three minutes of discomfort. Cold immersion stimulates leukocytes- the white blood cells that help fight of viruses and sickness, stimulates the lymphatic system by causing it to contract, increases baseline dopamine- the molecule in our body linked to motivation, and assists our muscles with active recovery. If you can’t tell, I’m a huge fan of cold plunging for the physical and mental benefits and it’s definitely becoming a weekly non-negotiable for me!

Tongue scraping. This is one of my favorite morning rituals for detoxification, toxin removal, and deep internal cleansing. Tongue scraping is essential to removing oral bacteria, as the tongue is an incredibly hospitable environment for toxins and bacteria. When toxins aren’t properly removed from the body, they begin to accumulate- on the tongue, especially- and compromise our immunity, disrupt gut health and digestion, and affect our overall energy. By scraping your tongue first thing in the morning, you begin to clear toxins and dead skin cells from the tongue, promote good oral and digestive health, stimulate your internal organs, and alleviate bad breath. This cleansing practice allows you to begin to clear your body from the buildup of unwanted toxins and bacteria that lead to internal stagnation and dis-ease and feel better on a day-to-day basis. You can find the tongue scraper I use daily from Amazon here.

Body Bio TUDCA. TUDCA! Now you’re probably thinking “what even is that?” and I hear you so let me explain. TUDCA- also known as Tauroursodeoxycholic Acid- is a bile acid that is naturally formed in the body. When we take TUDCA is supplement form, it helps to support liver function and healthy bile flow, aiding in optimal digestion and healthy detoxification of the gut and liver. TUDCA has also been found to help remove cellular debris from the body, fight inflammation, and reduce oxidative stress in the body and mitochondria. I’ve been incorporating Body Bio TUDCA into my daily supplement routine recently for extra liver and gut support as I continue to cleanse my body from mold and Lyme and have been loving it. My gut feels great, my digestion is regular and optimal, and I can feel my body detoxing at an accelerated rate when taking TUDCA alongside liposomal glutathione and NAC. If you’re looking for extra gut and liver support, TUDCA is for you. If you’re interested in trying it, you can use my code BEWELL for 15% off at checkout.

Homemade vanilla cashew milk. Nut milk is great. But nut milk is even greater when you make it yourself. There’s something to a homemade nut milk that a packaged version can’t quite get, you know? This homemade vanilla cashew milk (did I mention it’s a no-strain recipe?) is creamy, delicious, and made with ingredients that you can actually pronounce and count on one hand. It’s perfect as a coffee creamer, for your matcha latte, or even to go with your cereal. Whatever suits your fancy, really. I’ve been making this no-strain vanilla cashew milk recipe for the past couple of weeks and it is truly making my morning matcha dreams come true. It’s creamy, clean, simple, and one of the best tasting things I’ve ever had- no exaggeration!
